End of Term 3 Golden Time

What a great way to end the term! Today Room 5 had a trip to the Whakatane Aquatic Centre where they got to swim and go on the hydroslide.

Keep NZ Beautiful!

Last week was 'Keep New Zealand Beautiful' week. Along with Room 6 we went out on the street near our school to collect rubbish that had not been put in the bin to show our contribution to the community. It is a great feeling to know we made a difference!

Parent Day

On Tuesday 9^th September Room 5 and 6 held a Parent Day. It was great to meet some of the parents from our rooms and learn about their cultures and their jobs. We learnt lots of exciting new things and gained new knowledge. Thanks to all those parents who attended. 

(Unfortunately our class iPad that had all the photos Miss Wallace took stopped working and they were deleted :(  Luckily, Miss B had a few photos with us in that she has shared).

Fraction Song

We have been learning about fractions in Room 5 and this week we learnt a song made up by a class at Nook Lane Junior School in the UK. We then recorded our singing and filmed ourselves to create our own video. We had so much fun that we can't wait to create our own song/dance next term. Check us out in the video below.
